CCDS provides services to over 300 adults with developmental disabilities.  From recent high school graduates to those nearing retirement, program participants at CCDS are encouraged to reach their fullest potential and are challenged each day to succeed.
CCDS offers opportunities for these individuals to take part in shaping the services they receive and the communities where they live.
Beyond employment, CCDS creates opportunities for individuals to give of themselves in volunteer efforts and outreach opportunities.  Select individuals receiving services also assume active leadership roles within the organization by serving on the CCDS Board of Directors and the Quantum Board of Directors.  Additional opportunities include the participation on teams like Risk Management and hiring committees.
Employee Association
The Employee Association is a group comprised of individuals receiving services from CCDS who represent their peers from Supported Employment and Day Habilitation.  In addition to sponsoring four recreation nights each year, they determine how to use the money they raise from sales at Richard's Canteen, a snack bar located in Quantum, Inc.

Each February, the Employee Association sponsors at least four program participants so they can attend Disability Day at the Capitol in Atlanta.  The annual event includes an overnight stay in Atlanta, sightseeing, a tour of the Capitol Building, participation in a motivational rally, and an opportunity to meet local legislators.

People First
The Savannah Chapter of People First includes people with disabilites who want change and help people in making their own choices.  People First meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at Quantum, Inc.  Please consult the monthly calendar for speaker and specific activity information.
